Four armed criminals were detained in Buenos Aires during a police operation targeting a planned robbery in a jewelry district. The incident occurred on a public holiday evening when police officers on patrol near Bartolomé Mitre Street noticed a white Chevrolet Prisma moving at a very low speed past jewelry stores. Suspecting foul play, officers attempted to identify the occupants, but the vehicle sped off, initiating a pursuit that ended on the corner of Avenida 9 de Julio Sur and Rivadavia. During the identification, police observed a tool for breaking locks in the vehicle, leading to a search. The search of the car revealed a duffel bag containing a .38 caliber revolver with two rounds. The detainees are four Argentine men, aged 22, 29, and 30 (two of them), three of whom have prior convictions for theft. The National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 49 ordered the detention of the suspects, the seizure of the weapon and tools, and other standard procedures.
